Either Masters Masters Masters is back reading the blog or the policy group is bucking for a promotion - Ray, don't worry, that lieutenant spot is all gift wrapped, you're golden:
- Masters did attend the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy(SLEA) through the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. Its a 10 week course that suburban departments use to certify recruits. He is a certified peace officer in the State of Illinois. He was a "student at large" during the Academy. They made some exceptions for him due to his position. He is certified through the State and therefore can carry a firearm and has arrest powers. Hope this clears the issue.
That does sound like the sneaky way J-Fled and Shortshanks would make sure their boy can carry a weapon while citizens have to fight tooth and nail to the highest court in the land just to be able to keep a gun in a safe in their house.
That "student at large" thing though. We'd hate to think someone was falsifying training records by asking instructors if they remembered someone sitting in on classes that were never attended. Or is that a different scandal we aren't remembering?
