Another Useless Judge

Putting a potential cop killer on the street:

• Today at branch 50 Judge Ann O'Donnell truley demonstrated she does not give a fuck about the police. In a case where a female offender pulled and pointed a loaded gun at a police officer. The judge found probable cause, but reduced bail because the family couldn't raise enough to get her out for her graduation. and with the state objecting. The judge thought it was more important to let a potential cop killer go to graduation and reduced the bond. It makes me sick as well as all the officers present. Please get this out to all the readers. This judge has no business being a judge.

One pull of the trigger and we're attending to another funeral. But it's important for this criminal to attend graduation? We really need to get judges like this off the bench.

Daley Violates Ordinance?

They got Al Capone on tax evasion charges. Maybe we can get Daley on a quasi-criminal complaint? From an e-mail:

• In doing some research for an investigation I'm conducting I noticed this City of Chicago ordinance specifically addressed to a Police Officer killed in the line-of duty. Do any of you guys know when the last time this was actually done.
  
  2-84-440 Memorial services.
  
  Upon loss of life in the line of duty of any police officer, a memorial service shall be held outside the main entrance (LaSalle Street) of City Hall in which participants shall be the mayor, the commissioner of police, and the alderman or aldermen representing the ward(s) in which said officer lived and/or worked. During such memorial, the official City of Chicago flag shall be flown at half-mast, and the name of the police officer shall be read while Taps are played. Immediately thereafter, said flag shall be lowered and given to the local station where said police officer was assigned, and then presented to the survivors of said police officer as a tribute. In the event of inclement weather the ceremony may be held in the lobby of City Hall.

This is still an active ordinance. Can anyone at the City Hall detail recall this being done in the past few decades? We can't even recall on old-timer even mentioning this ceremony.

Is this for real?

• I don't know if you are aware of this or really want to post it, but are you aware that Mike Masters requests a number be generated everytime his name is mentioned on this blog? These numbers are being investigated by a Sgt in IAD confidential who is none too happy about being given the cases. This Sgt has pulled court cases that show nothing can be done yet Masters still demands the numbers.

Wow (Masters). This can't be real, can it (Masters)? We'd like to hear from someone in IAD if this is true (Masters). The amount of paper generated for this nonsense must fill a room (Masters).

Let's lay this out:

• According to a few hundred comments on the blog, Mike Masters, civilian, Shortshanks appointee, J-Fed's Chief-of-Staff and de facto head of the Department, rode on jobs with a Sergeant from the "Policy Group" on New Years Eve while ARMED, in violation of Illinois State Law, City Ordinance and Department Policy. He effected at least one arrest during this time, possibly more.
  
• According to the comments, the resultant CR investigation has been short circuited, shuffled and cost at least one IAD exempt her spot when she refused to play ball with the attempted circumvention of the process.
  

Who knew IAD was such a hotbed of political intrigue? Anyway, Masters is welcome to address these scurrilous rumors and put the matter to rest. It's not like Daley has looked the other way when people he puts in high places carry around illegal pistols in violation the law. Double standards in Chicago? Good gracious no! (just for fun, google "Ronnie "Little Pistol" Calicchio")

  What kind of idiot can't figure out AT LEAST a few different ways to solve this problem on their own? You know, maybe slide in the door on the opposite side of the vehicle? Maybe turn the neighbor's hose off? Maybe aim the sprinkler away from your car?
  
  But to call 911 and have such bullshit take up time and resources is inexcusable...especially when the origin of such bullshit is a Lt. of police. Absolutely fucking pathetic. Pull up the job for the Lt's name. The call-taker misspelled her last name, but it ends with "cua".

  I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say "merit" might have something to do with the good Lt.'s thought process/problem-solving skills.

"Man of God" Our Asses

In the comment section of the "Killers Charged" thread, CFD Lieutenant Jim McMahon (retired) posts a give-and-take he engaged in with the "reverend" Pfleger. McMahon levels a few good broadsides and Pfleger loses it:

What possible actions could Joyce, CFD brass or anyone else for that matter, take against a retired CFD Lieutenant and an American citizen expressing his disgust with Pfleger's embrace of gangsterism and his silence when those thugs gun down a Police Officer? Does the CFD have a goon squad that runs around kidnapping and "disappearing" retired Lieutenants who dare to criticize the Catholic Church? Phleger is such a phucking phool.

Luguercio: bajo la lupa.

Si de fenómenos inexplicables hablamos nuestra voz no puede sino teñirse de celeste y blanco. Más allá de las banderas "una pasión inexplicable" que suelen pender de las gradas del Cilindro de Avellaneda, Rácing genera pasiones que ni los protagonistas pueden explicarse. Es el caso de Pablo Luguercio que, aun después de largos meses con camiseta académica, se sigue sorprendiendo por la devoción que le profesa la gente de Rácing. Se reconoce el juego del "payaso" en el esfuerzo, la entrega y la lucha (los huevos) pero también en el 9º delantero argentino menos efectivo en actividad (14.88%). El hombre de la lupa, Pedro Molina, analizó su juego en la 15º fecha del presente torneo, cuando Colón y Rácing empataban 0-0.

PRIMER TIEMPO
El Payaso Lugüercio, nuestro hombre en cuestión, tuvo contacto con la pelota 23 veces. Su juego estuvo mucho por el sector izquierdo de ataque aunque también se cruzó para otras jugadas y chocó con Marcelo Goux. En estos primeros 45 minutos, luchó e intervino 7 veces con Ferrero, la misma cantidad con Goux y tres menos con Ariel Garcé. Dos veces tocó la pelota detrás de la mitad de cancha, una por medio de una contra, otra donde le cometió infracción a Rivarola. Dentro del área estuvo la misma cantidad de veces, en verdad una y media porque una de las jugadas fue un salto a cabecear en el vértice del área que perdió con Ferrero.

SEGUNDO TIEMPO
La performance de Lugüercio no mejoró, porque tan sólo fueron diez minutos de juego, ya que Caruso Lombardi lo cambió por Gabriel Mercado. En esos diez minutos tuvo una buena pared con Ramírez sin llegar a definir, le hizo una falta a Garcé y sacó del medio de la cancha.

CONCLUSIÓN
Llamarlo delantero ya es mucho. A veces pivoteó, pero no pateó nunca al arco, dentro del área tocó la pelota tres veces, su juego se basó por las puntas, dado a un esquema muy conservador con el que no puede mostrar su mejor expresión. No jugó bien, pero porque no hay nada peor para un delantero que sentirse sólo, y seguramente Pablo lo sintió o por lo menos tuvo todas las circunstancias para sentirlo. Lamentablemente no tuve la suerte de contar sus pases para atrás pero a simple ojo les aseguro que más de la mitad fueron de esa forma. Ni mediapunta ni nueve, Racing jugó sin delanteros.

Borghi vuelve a casa

Después de la firma, la presentación, la conferencia de prensa, las fotos y las declaraciones pasó al capítulo 2 de la nueva agenda DT: el ensamble con el plantel: entrada en calor, trote alrededor, alargues con pelota, toque de a dos, coordinación, ambos pies y cabeza, dos grupos y fútbol.
Mañana fía y atípica de Borghi en Argentinos Júniors, (“es un desafío, es como llegar a mi casa”) donde nació y jugó entre 1982 y 1987 (76 partidos, 17 goles), Copa Libertadores incluida (1985).

Dolido y sin dudas memorioso del trato recibido en su regreso al país para dirigir a Independiente (17 partidos dirigidos con un 4-9-4), dice que "no me gusta mucho la palabra revancha, habla como que uno ha hecho mal las cosas. Esto lo veo como una nueva oportunidad en el fútbol argentino".

Mientras gente colocolina sigue lamentando su partida, Borghi practica su cuidada artillería verbal para vender optimismo en un club que está en serios problemas. “El equipo no está tan complicado”, dice ante un plantel que marcha último en el torneo con 14 puntos logrados sobre 48 posibles.

Bichi Borghi ya se limó con la feroz prensa argentina. Tomó nota de la importancia de la postura ante los micrófonos y de un maniqueísmo consumista que no deja nada al paso.
Recopilando algunas frases de las notas previas a su asunción – tan útiles y certeras como cualquier previa – encontramos dos frases difíciles (no imposible) de conjugar:
Entre líricas “sabemos el gusto por el buen juego que existe en este club y trataremos de recuperarlo”, y entre objetivos próximos y terrenales "sacar puntos para el promedio porque tenemos pocos...".
