- Two men who led police on a chase following a shooting in southwest suburban Burbank early Saturday are in custody—after their vehicle ran out of gas.
- The shooting allegedly happened in the lounge’s parking lot, but when police arrived, the victim had left the scene with a friend, Klein said.
The victim’s friend, unfamiliar with the area, got lost while taking the man to the hospital and ended up somewhere in Chicago, Klein said. The friend flagged down a Chicago Police officer who called for an ambulance. The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.

- The victim, who is recovering at Christ Hospital, is not cooperating with police and ultimately told detectives he would handle his disagreements with the gunman “on the street,” Klein said.
Police continued to search for the weapon used in the shooting—which may have been tossed during the chase-- and were talking with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office about charges.
