Area 2 Fixed!

We received a pair of e-mails today stating that the corroded and fractured pillar holding up a large portion of Area 2 was repaired recently. Remember these pictures?

We aren't structural engineers, but we imagine something like this would require more than just a surface application of concrete. They actually propped up the building, tore out the pillar, replaced the structural iron and put a new pillar in place, right? We'll ask that our Area 2 readers keep us informed of events as they unfold.

For our next repair trick, we have these lovely photos from an Area 4 reader:



According to our e-mailer, that is human excrement dripping from the ceiling of the 011th District female locker room. It comes from the plumbing directly above on the main floor. Our reader also relates that this has been going on for a few years now and the latest "repair" undertaken by the engineers is...wait for it... new ceiling tiles to absorb the most recent drips!

We guess the previous tiles must have been full.

Hey, wait a minute. Maybe this was the source of the 011th District gas leak that led to the evacuation of the building and cancellation of afternoon court yesterday?
