Dead Angel?

Not quite. Here's the story from a day ago:

• Police are seeking witnesses to the slaying of a CPS 10th grader who was gunned down in front of a middle school in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side Wednesday night.

  At 9:30 p.m. police responded to a call of shots fired at 4211 W. Thomas St. and when officers got there they found a 15-year-old boy lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the head, according to Harrison District police Capt. [...].

Both papers and most of the news stations had video of the community protesting the killing of another future cardiologist and brain surgeon. But we got this e-mail today:

• Unbelievable coverage of the shooting in 011. This kid was a hard core gangster at 15. The graffiti all over the Piccolo School the news won't show is all four-corner-hustler bullshit. It was so bad overnight, the district had to dismantle the sidewalk memorial and call for an emergency "graffiti blaster" to wash down the walls and sidewalks for all the gang b.s. Now we found out that the "victim" had been shot on April 2 under similar circumstances. Sorry to say, but this wasn't unexpected.

Once again, half the story from the media.

UPDATE: Mope-rah claims the little angel had "...no run-ins with the law..." We'd say that being shot on 02 April and then refusing to help the police is kind of stretching the "no run-ins" claim. But again, it's Mope-rah and truth is a foreign thing to her and her ilk.
