We really really want to be promoted and under this new rating system we think we have a chance. We just need a few things answered for us:
- What is the total number of tickets needed to be eligible for promotion and could you break it down by "mover," "parker" and "ANOV."
- Give us an arrest total to shoot for. We'll worry about the potential Civil Rights lawsuits later. We just want a number.
- Will CTA checks give us an advantage over the competition? If we do platform checks vs bus checks, do we get a bonus for having to climb all those stairs? And can we do other platforms besides the one on our beat?
- What about park checks? Do we have to sign logs? We have two playlots on the beat so no log to sign which means we have to poach two beats over. And the guy on that beat is ambitious, too.
- The Contact Card thing - again, a total please? We can stop a whole bunch of people night after night, but it's the same people and their mommas and reverends are getting pissed. They told us at the CAPS meeting that we were picking on their boys, and then they bitch about the same corner we keep stopping their kids at.
Does anyone have the totals that HQ wants? Would they share them?
They won't define what merits a "merit" promotion. Does anyone really think they are going to put a number on paper to rate you fairly?
