Again With the Blunt Objects?

School violence in the CPS:
  • A student at Hope College Preparatory High School was hurt during a fight that erupted near the school on Chicago's South Side, according to a Chicago Public Schools spokeswoman.

Officers responded to the school, 5515 S. Lowe Ave., about 8:15 a.m. following reports of the fight, said Chicago Police Officer Robert Perez, a police spokesman.

The victim was hit in the head with a blunt object and taken to the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. He was reported in good condition.

Although Perez said police responded to the fight outside the school, CPS spokeswoman Monique Bond said the fight, apparently involving a group of teens, happened a few blocks away.

We didn't realize whacking people in the head with blunt objects was considered "college preparatory" class work. It must be one of those progressive ideas that Huberman is known for.

Is there anything that CPS can't do?
