Shades of Capone

  • Police in west suburban Riverside said whoever pumped seven shots into a home Wednesday morning was likely targeting controversial Cook County Commissioner Tony Peraica, who lives next door.

“We believe right now Mr. Peraica was the target,” Riverside Police Chief Tom Weitzel told the Sun-Times. “And that it was meant as some type of intimidation or message.”

No one was injured. Police said at least one shot went through a front window and another went into a wooden front door.

So isn't it about time the Feds rolled out a series of indictments that would effectively dismantle this outdated, patronage-ridden, mob-influenced, alleged government body that exists solely to give six-figure paychecks to Machine relatives and provide cover for assorted Outfit operations in the suburbs?
