  • Can Cameras Replace Cops?

    No one can say for sure why murders and violent crimes are on the rise in Chicago. But some criminologists are questioning why the new police superintendent, Jody Weis, is moving away from proven community policing strategies.
An extensive article questioning some of the same things we've been pointing out for a while now. But while the article appears to dwell a bit on a return to the Golden Age of CAPS, we still are of the opinion that CAPS outlived its usefulness and ended up being more of a drain on disappearing Department dollars in recent years.
