Good Job Once Again

And this time, it gets coverage:

• Police captured a man who allegedly raped a woman at gunpoint in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side early Tuesday.

  The woman was sexually assaulted at gunpoint by a man about 1:30 a.m. in the 3300 block of West Warren Avenue, according to police, who were citing preliminary information.

  Officers placed the alleged attacker into custody after they chased him on foot, police said.

  The woman and the alleged attacker, who was injured during the chase, were being treated at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

Cops do this day in and day out, with or without a contract, because it's the right thing to do. We are truly what stands between society and anarchy. But the pathetic number of comments in the Sun Times post and the nature of more than a few of them always give us pause.

Anyway, hats off to all involved.
