As the Tahoes are dying out faster than expected, we'd suggest the Department look into these:

• The compact package combined with the tasty twin turbo 2.0-liter four cylinder diesel putting out 204 hp scores mid-6 second 0-60 times with 40 mpg efficiency.

Diesel. 40 mpg. The ultimate green beemer. The Germans are using these for pursuits on the autobahn, phasing out the Porsche 911s. Oh wait...pursuits. Right. We don't do those any more. Sorry.

How about the humble Dodge Chargers then?
