So Damned Insignificant

You like us! You really really like us!! OK, all joking aside, we were completely flabbergasted when we started receiving e-mails this morning saying we had been mentioned on the John Williams WGN Radio Show today. We thought it was just a passing mention - but the whole show was about Google releasing a list of "top ten" searches in 31 markets across the US. And coming in at #3 for Chicago searches?

Then Channel 2 did a feature and linked us in the opening paragraph:

  [...] Coming in third is "Second City Cop," for the popular blog written by and for Chicago Police officers. The blog is primarily composed of police-related news and commentary.

The Chicagoist and Tribune also mention the list - keep in mind these are searches unique to Chicago. We're sure we aren't anywhere near the top 1,000,000 searches in the United States and we're less than a blip worldwide.

So once again, thanks to everyone who visits. We wouldn't be this "insignificant" without you.
